This policy applies to the EasyJobLink website (easyjoblink.com.np) and the EasyJobLink mobile app (Android & iOS). EasyJobLink ("we", "us", "our") operates a job portal connecting jobseekers and employers in Nepal. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with. By creating an account or using EasyJobLink, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

From jobseekers

Account details: full name, phone number, email address, and password (stored encrypted).
Profile information: headline, bio, location, skills, work experience, education, languages spoken, driving licenses held, vehicle ownership, and relocation and night-shift availability.
Documents: your CV / resume file and profile photo.
Activity data: jobs viewed, saved and applied to; application status history; and messages exchanged with employers.
Device data (mobile app): push-notification token, device type, and app version.

From employers

Account details: contact person name, company email, phone number, and password (stored encrypted).
Company profile: company name, industry, location, official website, company logo, and verification documents.
Activity data: job postings, applicant lists and hiring status, and messages exchanged with jobseekers.

2. How We Use This Information

To create and secure your account, and verify your identity when you sign in.
To match jobseekers with relevant job postings and let employers find suitable candidates.
To process job applications and let employers view a candidate's profile and CV when they apply.
To enable in-app messaging between jobseekers and employers.
To send you notifications about application status, new messages, and relevant job postings.
To operate, maintain, and improve the reliability and security of our platform, including detecting fraud and fake job postings.
To respond to support requests.

3. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

Between jobseekers and employers: when you apply to a job, the employer can see the profile details, CV, and contact information you've provided. When an employer posts a job, jobseekers can see the company details shown on the listing.
Service providers: we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (operated by Google) to deliver push notifications to your device. Google processes a device token to route these notifications; it does not receive your profile content.
Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of EasyJobLink, our users, or the public.

4. Cookies (Website)

The website uses cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features (like staying logged in) may stop working correctly.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account remains active, so the platform can continue to match you with jobs or candidates. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, CV, and messages from active use within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain limited records (for example, transaction logs) for legal or security purposes.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Access and update: you can view and edit your profile information at any time from within the app or website.
Visibility: jobseekers can control whether their profile is visible to employers via the profile visibility setting.
Delete your account: see our Account & Data Deletion page, or contact us using the details below.
Notifications: you can disable push notifications from your device's system settings at any time.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the app and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards.

8. Children's Privacy

EasyJobLink is a job portal intended for working-age users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the minimum legal working age in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of EasyJobLink after a change means you accept the updated policy.
